ToB 2011 launch

Sunday 11 September saw the start of the The Tour of Britain. 


Months of work go into the event and getting everything ready for 8 days of racing throughout the UK. This year the race starts in the beautiful town of Peebles in the Scottish Borders. For Peloton it gives us the opportunity to mix our design and our passion (well Peter's to be exact) for bicycle racing. 


Our work includes the branding and technical elements to the race. Meaning we promote the race and develop a creative campaign, produce technical elements like signage and design of leaders jerseys. The main project started weeks ahead is the Race Manual (otherwise known as the race bible). It is a document used by everyone on the race, from riders and teams for tactics to TV and barrier crews to ensure safety.


This years race will be the best yet in terms of quality of the field including Tour De France sprint star Mark Cavendish.


The race can be seen each evening on ITV4 with commentary from Brian Smith and Hugh Porter.
