Commonweal School and Sixth Form
Revitalising a community of leaders and learners

Commonweal School and Sixth Form are passionate about creating a positive learning environment, one that reflects a sense of community, inclusivity and ambition. But they needed a brand that would communicate these values and inspire students. We were commissioned to create this new brand.

In close collaboration with the senior management team we developed a clear and appropriate identity system, realised in a new website and internal collateral and formalised in set of practical guidelines.

Part of this process focused on clarifying their educational offers. Commonweal School and Commonweal Sixth Form share the same site, but previously had very different brands. We were tasked with uniting the brand structure and creating a stronger connection and continuity between the two establishments.

Commonweal have the unique privilege of using the official Swindon crest, something all were keen to capitalise on. The crest became the foundation for their new brand and was fully revitalised for the digital age. From this clear position we were able to refine a formal colour palette and typographic treatment for both the School and Sixth Form.

Where there had previously been two different brands in place, the School and Sixth Form now share the gravitas and pride of the Commonweal crest – creating a recognisable unity between each stage of education.

The fully responsive website has been designed to accommodate the full Commonweal offer. A clear, modern and approachable design now creates a positive and progressive appearance for current and prospective pupils. Emotive and natural images, by photographer Dave Pratt, capture the energy and atmosphere at Commonweal.

Commonweal School and Sixth Form now have a strong brand and website in place plus assets and guidelines to produce materials.

“We have been absolutely thrilled with our Peloton experience. They took our ‘marketing message’ back to the bare bones of what an educational institution is about – who are we trying to attract and what do we want to say to them.

They skilfully took us through each stage to arrive at the end product of a new Commonweal brand. What started as a new website ended with us transforming how we operate as a school – we have a fresh, new, modern look and we owe this to Peloton.

We would highly recommend Peloton to all companies looking to modernise and speak to this customer base. We have thoroughly enjoyed this experience.”
